How it's paid
Maintenance Loans are paid directly to the student three times a year, normally around the start of each term.
The student must have a UK bank or building society account in their own name and they'll need to at their university or college before we can make their first payment.
Students can see their expected payment dates in their online account, but some banks take longer to clear funds. If their money isn’t in their account in three working days, they should contact their bank – they should be able to let them know when their money will arrive.
