What's available
The maximum Parents’ Learning Allowance is:
- £2,024 for the 2025 to 2026 academic year
- £1,963 for the 2024 to 2025 academic year
How much they can get is based on their household income.
This doesn’t need to be paid back, unless they leave their course early.
How it’s paid
We’ll send the student a letter to confirm what they’ll get and when they’ll get it. It’s paid into their bank account in three instalments, usually at the same time as any other student finance they get.
