Providing up-to-date information about our student finance products and services.

This post first published: 07 February 2019

On 23 January we held our first ever virtual open day for students thinking about going to uni or college this year. Students joined us on Facebook and Twitter for a series of live Q&As. Search the hashtag #SFEOpenDay to catch up on the conversation.

Our student finance experts answered questions on a diverse range of topics, from eligibility for student finance to what extra help they could get!

We also had lots of useful information available online for students and their parents and partners too! Our newly updated quick start finance guides and information on our student finance zone and space on UCAS gave students all the information they need to apply for student finance on time for academic year 2019/20.

Highlights

During the event, our Facebook channel reached over 62,000 people. Across our two Facebook Live sessions our experts - Andy, Stuart and Erin - received a total of 117 questions and attracted over 9,000 views.

Our Twitter channel gained over 42,000 impressions during the open day and saw a 16% increase in queries to our social media team.

Our dedicated page on www.ucas.com attracted over 3,000 views.
