DSA and funding for Microsoft Office

As Microsoft offer free Office 365 access to students with a “.ac.uk” email address, Office 365 is not funded through DSA as standard. However, students who do not have a “.ac.uk” email address and do not have access to Office 365 through other means can have Office 365 funded through DSA if required on the basis of a recommendation from a needs assessor. It is the needs assessor’s responsibility to check the availability of Office 365 to the student.

 

The list below lists providers whose students do not currently have “.ac.uk” email addresses and so may be eligible to have Office 365 funded through DSA. This list is reviewed regularly. Providers who are not on the list but would like to be added should contact the Department for Education (DfE) on disabled.studentallowances@education.gov.uk. Providers on the list whose students do now have “.ac.uk” email addresses should inform DfE via the above email also.
