Understanding eligibility

Providing up-to-date information about our student finance products and services.

As applications from full-time undergraduate students start coming in ahead of the 24 May deadline, we’ve added in-depth information about our eligibility criteria to our websites. This will help your students understand what they can apply for and make sure they’re confident they have all the information they need to get their applications in on time.

So what’s changed?

We’ve identified several key areas where students traditionally have difficulty with our eligibility criteria and have strengthened our online information to help them overcome these issues.

We’ve made changes to the eligibility pages on our student finance zone on The Student Room and our space on UCAS.

These changes include better explanations of:

  • who can sign Birth/Adoption certificate forms,
  • applying after living outside the UK/EEA temporarily, and
  • the evidence we need to prove a student’s eligibility.

These are just some of the changes we’ve made – to see the extent of the new information online, check out the new pages.

Where do you come in?

We’re asking you to help spread the word about these updates to your current and prospective students at your open days and events. Share these pages on your social media channels and retweet and share our posts on Twitter and Facebook to help get the word out!
