Before joining the Student Loans Company back in 2008, Katy
worked for the University of Wales, Newport within the Learning
& Information Services department to help meet the increasing
demand for financial information, advice and guidance. Here she
developed the University's capabilities to increase collaboration
with local schools and colleges and pioneered funding schemes that
contributed to the overall student experience and
employability.
Katy has also worked within Learner Services at the largest FE
College in Wales as well as the Department for Work and Pensions
where she gained invaluable experience in assessing and delivering
a variety of services and welfare benefits.

Local Events
With the launch of the 24+ Advanced Learning Loans application
process in April as well as the approaching deadline for 2013
higher education applications at the end of May, now is a great
