Before joining SLC in May 2008, Jon worked as an IAG Officer for
Lancashire County Council, providing support with Student Finance,
Learner Support Funds and Transport Grants. Jon also managed the
team operating the Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) pilot
scheme in East Lancashire. Prior to this he was employed as a
Work-Based Learning Administrator at Myerscough College, and as a
Lecturer in German at University College, Cork.

Over the past year Jon has updated around 1600 colleagues
at 80 training sessions and over 2400 contacts now receive
regular email updates on student finance.

This term Jon is able to provide training on student
finance packages for 2013/14 (full and part-time), as well as
government plans for 2014/15. He can also give an overview of
application, payment, and repayment processes, and the wide range
of free IAG resources we provide.
