Change of circumstance
A change in a student’s circumstances can affect their eligibility.
They should complete and return a Postgraduate Doctoral Loan Change of Circumstances form as soon as possible. This can be downloaded from www.gov.uk/doctoralloan/apply or from their online student finance account.
If a change to their details results in them being overpaid, they’ll need to repay any money they’re not entitled to. In this case, the repayment threshold won’t apply and they might have to repay the amount they’ve been overpaid earlier.
Students will still get their full Postgraduate Doctoral Loan if they submit their thesis early.
