Part-time Tuition Fee Loan

A part-time Tuition Fee Loan is funding to help with the costs of tuition fees charged by the university or college. It’s paid to the university or college and not to the student.

This loan is only available to new and continuing part-time students studying an eligible:

  • undergraduate course
  • Initial Teacher Training (ITT) course
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)

Tuition Fee Loans are subject to repayment and interest accrues from the date the first payment is made.

Students applying for courses that started before 01 September 2012

Continuing students with course start dates before 01 September 2012 can’t get a Tuition Fee Loan, instead they are eligible to apply for a part-time Course Grant and a part-time Fee Grant.
