The product review process is administered by Student Finance England (SFE) on behalf of the Department for Education (DfE).

The product review process will initially consider applications from products which have not previously been funded via the Disabled Student Allowance (DSA). The list of products that have previously attracted DSA funding is available below (at the present time this only covers software - hardware will be added in due course). Revised or updated versions of products that have previously been funded are not currently in scope for the review process.

The process relates only to those students who receive support from SFE; it does not apply to students supported by other funding bodies - Student Finance Wales, Student Awards Agency for Scotland, Student Finance NI etc.

Below is a process map which outlines how the process works, SFE are now be accepting applications.

Applications to the process will only be accepted from suppliers or manufacturers of software/hardware. Applications from other colleagues in the sector: needs assessors, disability advisers and support workers will not be accepted.

If you have any questions about the process or would like to request an application form you should contact SFE via email at:DSA_new_product_application@slc.co.uk
